She attended Maury High School and is a graduate of Elon Collage. In 1978 she obtained her real estate license and her Brokers license in 1983. She is one of the most educated and experienced brokers in the area, and has many awards and certificates including being the recipient of the “Circle of excellence” award several years in a row. Sarah has also owned and operated her own real estate company for 9 years as well as opened two major franchise real estate offices in Norfolk. Sarah also has many years of experience in new homes sales and construction, and brings her knowledge of design and décor to the Virginia Realty Guilds’ home sales division. Being the Listing Specialist for the team, she is able to advise our client on ways to prepare their home to be shown at it’s best for a rapid and profitable sale. Sarah’s education and experience in real estate also gives her clients the assurance that their home is being handled in the utmost professional manner possible. About Carey Hodsden: Carey’s family has been in the Hampton Roads region since the late 1600’s as they are among the earliest settlers from England in the United States. Carey has very strong ties locally through business and family and is a highly respected member of the real estate community locally. Carey did most of his growing up in Michigan just north of Detroit were he attended parochial grade school and high school. Carey then attended architecture school in Arizona followed by a four year enlistment in the United States Air Force where he spent 2 ½ years in the Mediterranean in support of Operation’s Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Carey graduated from the Defense Information School with specialties in Radio and Television Broadcasting and Public Affairs. Before becoming a Realtor in 2005, Carey spent 14 years as an active PGA Member while opening and operating four new golf course/resorts and consulting on the opening of another. This business management experience makes Carey a “numbers” guy that enjoys the challenge of a negotiation and the challenge of helping home buyers and sellers realize their financial goals and dreams through real estate. As a PGA Member, Carey toured professionally on the golf tours for 4 years and this competitive fire remains in him to this day.
